The Sedona Method and the Giffords Event: Why It Is So Vital to Release Anger

Written by Stephen Seretan on .

Recent news has illustrated once again how emotions, unchecked and not released, can cause very negative results. The alleged shooter had a long history of mental/emotional issues, but no one could see the end result of these disorders. He and everyone in his life ignored them, and several people paid the price with their lives.

In this case, we see an unresolved issue of anger directed at a person of authority. In this case, Congresswoman Giffords. His delusions made her the bogeywoman for all his rage, and then he crossed the line and acted them out. He bought a gun in the easiest place to get one, AZ, when no one in his right mind should have let him have one. When the suppressed anger became too much to bear, he emptied the 31 bullet ammo clip into a crowd. The rest of this sad tale is well documented. Sadly, it is becoming all too familiar.

What Celebrities Can Teach Us About Fame and Fortune As a Goal

Written by Stephen Seretan on .

Like you, I have been watching the travails of celebrities every week. It is getting to be a comedic soap opera of sorts. They air mail insults and diatribes. The media responds, and the press has a field day, because they have something to write about in an otherwise slow news day.

How can we use this as a lesson about success? For starters, it is obvious to anyone who has experience working in the mental health arena, that these folks are looking for something they have not found in the Entertainment Industry. Many have been in and out of substance abuse clinics, but there never seems to be an overall improvement with their problems. The drugs and alcohol are being used as escapes from pain. What is the pain? If we can identify it, we can take a great lesson away from this tragi-comedy.

Sedona Method Six Steps - What The Sedona Method Is

Written by Stephen Seretan on .

Lester Levenson purported that there were Six Steps involved in attaining the goal of the Sedona Method - freedom and impeturbability. By following the guideline of these six steps, the achievement of goals generally using the Sedona Method becomes easier and more effortless because the correct order of the steps to the Method are in place.

Step 1: You've got to want freedom more than you want the three basic wants.

The three basic wants are what are learned in training on how to use the Method. So they won't be listed here. But what can be said is that they are the root of all problems. They are the "master programs" that have been installed as pro-survival but are in fact anti-survival. The awareness of this can be understood intellectually (or else the Method could not be taught) however, it's usefulness comes from it's application and understanding through experience ("taking it for checking" and proving it out for oneself).

The Sedona Method VS OCD: Success

Written by Stephen Seretan on .

Recently, I have been working with a young guy who has had a diagnosis of Obsessive/Compulsive Disorder. I use the techniques of the Sedona Method, which I now call Sedona Method KISS Releasing, the original work of Lester Levenson. He was given up on by psychology professionals, and psychiatrists were prescribing psych medications for him. I intervened in this situation, and the results have been nothing short of extraordinary. He loves our work together and has made great improvement in decreasing all the symptoms he exhibited initially.

I believe these results illustrate the powerful efficacy of the Sedona Method, and my approach, KISS Releasing, in particular. It was created by physicist, Lester Levenson, in 1974, duplicating his own self healing work with a terminal heart condition in 1952. In 3 months time he regained his health, and lived until he was 85, despite the dire predictions of his physicians at the time. He was 42 when this healing occurred. He spent the rest of his life teaching others what he had experienced and trained teachers to carry on his work.

The Real Meaning of Love From a Master's Viewpoint

Written by Stephen Seretan on .

Lester Levenson often said that Love was one of the most often used but misunderstood words in human experience. What Love brings to mind for most of us is that first kiss with our high school sweetheart, or meeting our spouse-to-be for the first time.

When we "fall in Love" there is a real chemical cocktail that is uncorked, poured into our blood, and we feel high, giddy, and for a time, the world is a blissful place. We see our beloved bathed in Love-colored hues, and he/she is perfect. I've often thought if they could put this into a pill, we'd have a drug problem of horrendous proportions!

Guys: The 5 Things You Must Do to Change Your Dating Dynamic With Hot Girls

Written by Stephen Seretan on .

Dating and scoring with chicks is not rocket science. Sexual attraction is a predictable thing, and you must know the subtle things that go on in a girl's mind when she meets you for the first time. Why do some guys score consistently while others bat .100? They are not THAT good looking or rich. Right? We are not talking about celebrities here. So what is it then?

1. Learn the Gift of Gab. Practice talking to many girls a day so you can practice. If you were learning golf, you would go to the driving range every chance you had. If you were learning to fly, you would get up in the air as much as you could afford. This skill is no different. Learn to open up to total strangers. You might find you enjoy it. It will pay off.
